Brand-spanning events like WWE’s WrestleMania and Marvel’s current Secret Wars are like licenses to print money-you get all the biggest good guys and all the biggest bad guys together to duke it out, and people just can’t handle themselves. That’s one thing comic-book publishers and professional wrestling organizations figured out decades ago. Nothing riles up fans like a good crossover.
